Our policies are designed to create a safe and fair environment for all Hroyy members. Learning what's allowed can help you avoid unintentionally breaking the rules and helps everyone in working with reliable, trustworthy members.
Rules for Sellers
Hroyy's policies are rules and guidelines that help to create a safe, fair and enjoyable trading environment for all members. As a seller, you are responsible for reviewing and understanding Hroyy’s selling policies, as well as all applicable laws and regulations as outlined in the User Agreement.
Learning about Hroyy's selling policies before you list an item will help you to avoid unintentionally breaking rules. Hroyy’s selling policies are updated to respond to marketplace, Community and security issues, so it is important to check them regularly for changes.
Violations of these policies may result in a range of actions, including:
o Listing cancellation
o Limits on account privileges
o Account suspension
o Loss of power member status
Every seller must know and follow:
· Items and listings must not violate certain copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.
· Only watches and related items and listing are allowed.
· Sellers must honor the transaction contract. Sellers cannot fail to deliver an item for which payment was accepted, significantly misrepresent an item by not meeting the terms and item description outlined in the listing, or refuse to accept payment for an item at the end of a successful sale.
· Sellers must not bid on their own item, or have family members, roommates or employees bid on their item.
· Sellers may not file for a Final Value Fee credit on a transaction where the buyer paid for the item.
· Sellers must pay relevant fees and taxes.
Rules for Buyers
· You can’t bid for an item, or use Hroyy at all, if you have false contact information on your account.
· Buyers and sellers need to be able to get in touch with each other, and we need to be able to get in touch with them.
· You must pay for any item you buy.
· Many of the items on Hroyy are sold in an auction-style format where you can make bids. Bidding is a lot of fun, but remember that each bid you make is a binding contract to buy the item if you win. The same is true for Buy It Now purchases. Not paying for an item after you have agreed to buy it has some negative consequences.
· You can only bid if you really intend to buy the item, even if you’re making a non-binding bid.
· You can't bid on your own item, obviously. But we have to mention it.
· Be careful about bidding on a bunch of similar items if you only want one.
· If you are the winning bidder of more than one listing, you're required to purchase all the items, even if they’re the same or similar.
· You can only retract a bid under very specific circumstances.
For example, if you meant to bid $10 but bid $100 instead, you can retract the bid. Even then, you're required to immediately bid the amount you intended. Never use bid retraction to manipulate the bidding process. It’s unfair, and it has serious consequences.
· Make sure you read the item description before you bid.
Many of the problems buyers and sellers encounter start with a simple misunderstanding about what is for sale and the terms of the sale. For example, some sellers only want to sell to bidders who live in a certain country, or who will pay using PayPal. You should only bid on or buy an item if meet the seller’s requirements. These are described in the item listing. If you bid on an item and you don’t meet the seller’s qualifications, we consider that unwelcome and malicious buying.
· If you know the seller, you can’t bid on the item. But if the seller offers Buy It Now, you can use that to buy the item.
This rule applies to family, friends, co-workers, roommates, and anyone who might know something about the item that most buyers don’t.
Rules about Feedback
· You can’t abuse the Feedback system. This means you can’t threaten to leave a seller negative Feedback if that seller won’t do something that wasn’t promised in the original listing. Also, you can’t leave Feedback if you are only doing it to help increase a seller’s Feedback score.
If you're having a problem with a seller
· You must be honest and have good intentions when you participate (or initiate) any resolution process.
Attempts to manipulate these processes are prohibited and can have serious consequences.
· You can’t interfere with another transaction.
In other words, you can’t contact other potential buyers to “warn” them about a seller. If you are concerned about a seller’s behavior, you can report it to us and we will investigate
